3 Signs That Your Vacuum Is In Need Of Repair

Home & Garden Blog

You don't want to make the mistake of thinking that just because your vacuum is not working the way it once was that you have to pitch it to the curb and buy a new one. While there is always a chance that the day will come where you have to purchase a new one, there might be plenty of years left in your vacuum. If you find that there are problems with it, get it fixed. By knowing the signs that your vacuum is in need of repair, you will be able to schedule an appointment with a repair technician, such as a dyson vacuum repair agent, right away.

 Frayed Cord

The last thing you want to do is to continue to use a vacuum that has a frayed cord. When you plug that cord into an electrical outlet, you could end up with a major problem. Even if you have been using it like that without problems, it is only a matter of time before something goes wrong. Consider it a ticking time bomb. At any point when you run a vacuum with a frayed cord you could end up with a fire or a short circuit causing your vacuum to fry and the electrical breaker to flip off. Many vacuum repair technicians will be able to fix your vacuum by simply replacing the cord.

Lack Of Suctioning Power

If you are not getting suctioning power in your vacuum, you need to have it repaired right away. After all, what good is running the vacuum if there is not enough suctioning power to pull up all of the dirt and debris on your floors? You need a vacuum repair technician to check it out. It could be that the motor needs to be repaired or replaced. Then again, it could be something as simply as a clog somewhere that simply needs to be released.

Broken Roller

When you flip your vacuum over, you should be able to see a long roller brush that is meant to spin when the vacuum is turned on. If that brush is not spinning, your carpets are not getting as clean as they should. Sure, there is still the power of the suction if that part of the vacuum is still working. However, if the bristle brush is not spinning, the debris and dirt that is stuck in the carpet fibers will not be able to come loose and get sucked up into the vacuum. A vacuum repair technician should have no problem either repairing or replacing the brush for your vacuum.

As you can see, there are some things that can go wrong with your vacuum that does not automatically mean you have to completely replace the entire unit. Simply call for help and see if your vacuum can fixed.
